Pilsen Community

Pilsen Community Academy is proud to be a Level 1 Chicago public school.

In 2014, our students exceeded the national average in reading and math growth and met the CPS student average for ISAT Composite scores in reading, mathematics, and science

In addition to Creative Schools Certification and being Healthy School Certified, we have established external relationships through the University of Illinois and CCIS. We’ve also been recognized with numerous awards such as the 2004 Partnership Read Award, 2003 Leadership Award, and a 2003 Iowa Test of Basic Standards (ITBS) Certificate for a gain in math scores.

Enrolling in Pilsen Community Academy

Pilsen Community Academy is classified as a Neighborhood School. There is no enrollment deadline or application for students who live in the attendance boundary.

Applications for students who live outside the attendance boundary are randomly selected through a computerized lottery if space is available. Priority is given to applicants who have a sibling enrolled in the school. The application window for students outside the attendance boundary has closed for the 2014-2015 school year.
